Is Salvation Received by Baptism or by Faith?

We are going to study how a person receives salvation. Is it by baptism or by faith? The belief that a person is saved through baptism is called, Baptismal salvation. The Bible teaches in Ephesians 2: 8-9 that Salvation is by grace through faith. Please read the following verses given and select what does the verses teach:

Q.1

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) *

It teaches that salvation is a reward and that you have to work for it.
It teaches that salvation is by grace through faith. It is God's gift and nobody works for a gift.

Q.2

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; (Titus 3:5) *

It teaches that salvation is by the works of righteousness that we do
It teaches that salvation is not by works of righteousness which we have done

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:24) *

It teaches that one who hears the word of truth, the gospel, and believes in Jesus is sealed by the Holy Spirit
It teaches that one who hears the word of truth, and believes must be baptized to have the Holy Spirit

To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. (Acts 10:43-44) *

Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
(Acts 10:47)

It teaches that they received the Holy Spirit and were forgiven of their sins after they were baptized.
It teaches that they received forgiveness of sins and received the Holy Spirit by hearing and faith, and needs to follow in baptism because they already have the Holy Spirit

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:12) *

It teaches that a sinner becomes a child of God by baptism
It teaches that a sinner becomes a child of God by faith

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (Romans 8:9) *

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
(Romans 8:17)

It teaches that those who have the Holy Spirit are children of God, and heirs of God
It teaches that a person cannot belong to Christ unless he is baptized.

Q.8

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:4) *

It teaches that a person is without Christ prior to baptism and receives Christ when baptism is done.
It teaches that baptism is only a picture of salvation of how Christ died for us and rose again, that a person must already have Christ in his life when he is baptized in water, because of the words, "buried with Him by baptism".
